Retreat of the doctoral college "New challenges in ageing societies"
From October 9 to 10, the retreat of the doctoral college "New Challenges in Ageing Societies" took place in Cologne. The aim of the retreat was to exchange expertise and discuss the doctoral projects of the scholarship holders in depth.
The event provided space for the presentation of research findings and joint reflection on key issues. The participants took the opportunity to reflect on their previous research experiences, discuss methodological challenges and formulate goals for future work.
Issues ranging from sexual diversity and identity in old age, migration and opportunities for participation to climate change, care, dementia and social innovation in elderly care were discussed.
